Dear Alumni,

Quality in organizations is based on a negotiation among stakeholders to recognize, as far as possible, their needs. These needs are to be translated into the objectives of the organization, fulfilling the needs of the consumers. The consistent realization of these objectives is defined as quality. In our quest for quality dental education, we have been making diligent efforts to give to our students the best that can be made available. Well!! This effort was recognized and appreciated by the ISO Inspection Committee. I feel proud to share with all of you that now our college has become ISO certified with ISO 9001-2008, and we are gearing up to face NAAC-reaccreditation.
I feel happy and proud to inform you that our college has been Ranked 2 nd in top private dental colleges and 6 th amongst top Govt and Private Dental Colleges in India, as per the recently conducted survey by THE WEEK -HANSA RESEARCH SURVEY2016. As per the OUTLOOK- DRISHTI SURVEY 2016 we are ranked 12 th amongst India's Top dental colleges.
The prevalence of dental diseases is increasing in Indian population with a parallel increase in the number of dental surgeons over the years. Is not this counter-productive? The aim of dental education is to produce dental surgeon capable of promoting oral health of the masses at large. The burning issue today is not insufficiency of manpower but uniformity and equitable distribution.
At present, after graduation, the probability of employment is bleak, the alternate is quite dismayed and disheartening as number of dental graduates find it difficult to settle in dental practice and tug of war starts between the fellow professionals. This is something I keep hearing from my own students very often. Hence, we try and focus on the acquisition of lifelong learning skills, values and attitude should receive at least as much emphasis as the acquisition of knowledge.
Apart from textbook knowledge, dental students must know challenges ahead and there should be proper motivation and inculcation of new ideas in them so that proper dental care can be provided to the needy.
Dear fellow colleagues, your dedication, sincerity, honesty, enthusiasm, devotion, and punctuality will definitely count and lead this profession to the zenith of glory.
